After installing from the Marketplace, open any Google Doc, go to Extensions → Thesis Editor, and click ‘Open Sidebar’. Your academic writing toolkit is ready.

How do I navigate between sections?

Use the sidebar's section list. Click any chapter or section to jump directly to it. Each section shows its word count.

How do I format my thesis?

Click "Apply Academic Format" in the sidebar. Your document gets standard formatting: proper margins, fonts, and spacing for academic submissions.

Can I track my word count?

Yes! The sidebar shows your total word count and per-section counts. Essential for meeting thesis requirements.

How do I manage citations?

Use the Citation Management feature to keep track of your references. Add, organize, and insert citations as you write.

How do I export my thesis?

Use the Export button in the sidebar. Choose PDF format. The file saves directly to your Google Drive, ready for submission.

Is my thesis private?

Absolutely. Your content never leaves Google's servers. We don't see your work, ever. Your research stays yours.

Does it work offline?

Thesis Editor requires an internet connection. Google Docs' offline mode may allow limited functionality.
